Mother's Day is just around the corner

It's nearly that time of the year when I get to try and redeem myself slightly, and thank my long-suffering mother for the years of torment and pain I've put her through whilst growing up, and often for years after that!

If cleansing your soul wasn't reason enough to book then what about the thought of enjoying dishes such as haggis croquettes, brie wrapped in Parma ham or spring vegetable minestrone followed by chicken stuffed with black pudding, roast rib of beef with all the trimmings or salmon fillet with crushed potatoes and hollandaise?
Then there's desserts of white chocolate and mallow cheesecake, sticky toffee pudding or double chocolate brownie, enough to melt the heart of most mothers, and even some mother in laws!
